Three people stabbed in nighttime attack on Girard Avenue

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — On Wednesday, July 3, at approximately 10:51 p.m., Syracuse police officers responded to the 200 block of Girard Avenue for a report of a fight, which later escalated into a stabbing.

When police arrived, they found two people, a man and a woman, with stab wounds. Both victims were found outside. A third person, a man, was found with stab wounds inside the house.


All three were transported to Upstate University Hospital, where they are all listed in stable condition.

The stabbing investigation determined that one of the male stabbing victims was the instigator of the fight.

The man, Alfred Clanton III, 35, was charged with first-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
