Holt was also charged with misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated and fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle.

Police said in a statement that members of the department's uniformed patrol division responded to Thompson Park at 2:25 a.m. Saturday for a reported theft. It is alleged that Holt, Chambers and the juvenile brandished a knife on Jacob Shipps, got into a physical altercation with him and stole his money, credit cards and car.

It is also alleged that Holt drove the victim's vehicle while intoxicated, struck another motor vehicle, then struck a stone wall on Park Drive, where he was taken into custody.

They were held at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building pending their appearance in municipal court.

City police were assisted by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, State Police, Jefferson County Probation Department, Guilfoyle EMS and the city fire department.
