Three people arrested after police standoff at Mound House | News

Update, 7:00 p.m.:

According to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Special Investigations Unit attempted to arrest Steven White, a man with felony warrants for his arrest.

White fled from deputies and barricaded himself in a residence.

After several hours, officers entered the residence and K9 Kai found White hiding inside.

The following suspects who were arrested and the charges against them are listed below:

  • Steven White faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, two counts of obstructing and delaying, parole and felony probation warrant and criminal contempt .
  • John Zielinski faces charges of possession of methamphetamine less than 14 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing and delaying.
  • Shonae Thacker faces a charge of obstructing and delaying.

A man is now in custody after a confrontation with Lyon County deputies at Mound House on Tuesday.

The sheriff's office said the unidentified suspect surrendered after a K9 was deployed.

Deputies say a call came in around 9:30 a.m. regarding a man wanted on several charges related to a parole violation and a felony warrant.

Police chased the man on foot before he ran into a house.

The sheriff's office says he was barricaded in a home near the True Value store on Highway 50 until his arrest around 2 p.m.
