Three local suspects charged with human trafficking

Authorities have arrested three individuals in connection with a human trafficking operation that allegedly resulted in the death of an 18-year-old girl, according to a report from Fox 4 KDFW:

“Three people have been arrested in connection with human trafficking and the death of an 18-year-old.

“Julia Wells died on May 2, 2018. State troopers told the Wells family that Julia's body was found on the Dallas North Turnpike.

“Mark Dailey, 51, of Plano, Nikki Jordan, 48, of Fort Worth and Anna Hudson, 42, of Mabank were arrested earlier this month on human trafficking charges humans.

“Dailey was charged with trafficking resulting in death, trafficking and forced prostitution.

“Jordan faces charges of trafficking and coercive prostitution.

“Hudson was charged with trafficking.

“The indictments indicate that all three individuals were involved in the trafficking of young women, including Wells and at least one other woman.

“Under Texas law, forced prostitution is when a person is asked to prostitute themselves by force, threat or fraud.

“Trafficking resulting in death is a first-degree felony punishable by up to life in prison if convicted, and trafficking and forced prostitution carry a potential maximum sentence of 20 years in prison if convicted guilty. »
