This is Kate Middleton's first appearance after being condemned to cancer

JAKARTA – Kate Middleton, a member of the British royal family, made her first public appearance after announcing that she was battling cancer in March.

The woman with Wales' title first appeared at the Trooping the Color event. This is an annual military parade held in central London to mark King Charles' birthday.

The princess, whose husband Prince William is heir to the throne, Kate is dressed in white and stands on the balcony of Buckingham Palace during the event.

She also joined her children Prince George, Louis and Princess Charlotte on the train during the parade section of the show.

Kate said she was going through a chemotherapy process for her cancer. And according to him, as reported by AlJazeera, the day development improves.

“On bad days, you feel weak, tired and have to give up bodily rest. But on good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of this feeling of health.”

Cancer diagnosis

The 42-year-old last appeared in public in December when she joined other high-ranking aristocrats for the annual Christmas Day church services.

Three months later, when speculation grew about her absence from the public eye, Kate announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer after stomach surgery and had begun preventative chemotherapy.

Kensington Palace declined to provide further details on the type of cancer or treatment.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, royal commentator Richard FitzWilliams said her public appearance was “very important” because Kate and her children represented the future of the monarchy.

He noted that King Charles, 75, who was also at Saturday's event, was also dealing with his own cancer diagnosis.
