Third person charged in Uniontown shooting that left two injured

A third person has been charged with attempted homicide in connection with a shooting in Uniontown earlier this month that injured two men.

An arrest warrant was filed Thursday for Isaiah M. Farrell, accused of firing several shots from a handgun at a car on Varndell Street in the city on June 11.

Pharoah Sewell was shot several times while sitting in the passenger side of the car. Another man, Davontae Clayton, was standing outside the car when the shots were fired, but he got behind the wheel and left before alerting nearby officers to the incident. Although Clayton was not hit by gunfire, he had a large cut on his forehead. Both men were taken to WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital for treatment and survived.

Santana Daily Jones, 21, of Uniontown, is accused of being one of the other shooters, state police said, and was charged June 14 with counts of attempted homicide, conspiracy and aggravated assault. Vincent Edward Pratt III, 19, is charged with conspiracy to commit attempted homicide as his vehicle was seen on surveillance video dropping the two men off and then picking them up after the shooting, according to court documents.

Police said Farrell and Jones were seen on surveillance video before the shooting standing in a Uniontown convenience store wearing the same clothes the attackers wore during the shooting. They then changed clothes and returned to the same store, police said. Investigators said they also used GPS coordinates from Jones' ankle monitor to track his location during the shooting, which would have placed him at the scene.

Farrell, 22, of North Union Township, is charged with two counts each of attempted homicide, conspiracy, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment, as well as one count of mischief criminal. The arrest warrant is filed in the Uniontown office of District Judge Jason Cox.
