The stolen car chase ends near Hoan; 5 people in custody, one still on the run

Five people are in custody after a stolen car chase that ended Thursday near the Milwaukee Harbor.

According to a release from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, a stolen vehicle chase was initiated by the Saint Francis Police Department with the assistance of the Cudahy Police Department earlier Thursday evening, June 6.

The robbery and chase was reported to Milwaukee County dispatch at 6:20 p.m.

The vehicle, containing six occupants, entered the highway at Pennsylvania Ave, exited at S. Carferry Drive and crashed a short time later.

Several people fled the vehicle on foot at the Lake Express Ferry parking lot.

Four of them were arrested and taken into custody with the assistance of a K-9 team from the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.

Milwaukee firefighters treated one of the suspects for a bite and helped recover another who had jumped into the water.

A sixth person is still on the run.
