1. The sheriff of Collier County will retain his seat; Rambosk runs unopposed, as in 2020

An unopposed candidacy will ensure Collier County's top law enforcement official keeps his seat for another four years.

Collier County Sheriff Kevin Rambosk begins his fifth term after becoming the only candidate to qualify after the qualifying deadline. This is the second election in a row that he has run unopposed.

His new term begins on January 7. The position pays $202,737.

Kevin Rambosk has a long career in law enforcement. Rambosk was first elected sheriff in 2008, after 30 years of experience as a law enforcement officer and government official in Collier County, including as police chief of Naples, Naples city manager and Collier County undersheriff for three years.

Voters overwhelmingly chose Rambosk over his challengers. In 2008, Rambosk won 74.3% of the vote and garnered 27,715 votes – and has since gained ground with the electorate in every election.

Rambosk was re-elected in 2012, defeating challenger Vinny Angiolillo in the general election with 80% of the vote.
