The RPD is investigating two stabbings Sunday evening in the city

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester police are investigating two separate stabbings that happened within minutes of each other in the city Sunday evening.

Rochester police went to Rochester General Hospital around 10:13 p.m. to meet with the victim, who suffered a stab wound to the upper body.


Investigators said they spoke with the 28-year-old man and learned he was arguing with someone in the 800 block of North Clinton Avenue. The argument escalated and he was stabbed. His injury is not life-threatening.

The second stabbing happened around 10:45 p.m. in the 300 block of Orchard Street. Police said a 45-year-old man was approached by another individual and stabbed in the upper body. He was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

RPD officers said they found no suspects in either stabbing. Investigations are ongoing.
