A Raleigh firefighter and his wife were arrested earlier this month, accused of operating a drug trafficking ring out of businesses in downtown Raleigh and Glenwood South after an FTA investigation .

An FTA investigation also led to charges against employees of the Armadillo Grill and Botanical Lounge, both located in Glenwood South. The ABC Commission ultimately decided to suspend the Armadillo Grill's liquor license due to these illegal activities, causing them to close their doors.

The FTA will now send its investigative reports to the ABC Commission, which will ultimately decide whether The Big Easy will receive a fine, suspension or revocation of its liquor license following the drug-related arrests.

The Cardinal could also face sanctions from the ABC Commission after the investigation revealed that some of its employees drank alcohol on the job.
