The brush fire had spread to 100 acres west of Palm City yesterday, threatening homes and causing visibility problems for drivers due to smoke. In an update Saturday morning, Martin County firefighters said the fire is now 90% contained. Fire Rescue, along with the Florida Fire Department, remains on scene to detect and reignite fires. Fire Rescue has two fire trucks, two brush cutters and a tanker truck at the fire scene.
