The-Dream responds after being accused of rape and sex trafficking

The-Dream responds after being accused of sexual assault, assault and sex trafficking in new lawsuit.

According to reports, Chanaaz Mangroe, also known as Channii Monroe, filed a lawsuit against The-Dream today (June 4).

According to the lawsuit, Mangroe claims The-Dream subjected her to “an abusive, violent and manipulative relationship filled with physical assault, violent sexual encounters and horrific psychological manipulation.”

Mangroe claimed she was working in the United States on an international visa from the Netherlands and was 23 when The-Dream team contacted her via social media in 2014. The producer allegedly told her said he would extend her visa and “write hit songs for her if she became part of his so-called 'sanctuary,' like he did for Beyoncé and Rihanna.”

The-Dream has since denied the allegations. “These statements are false and defamatory. I am opposed to all forms of harassment and have always sought to help people achieve their career goals,” he said in a released statement.

He added: “As someone committed to making a positive impact on my fellow artists and the world at large, I am deeply offended and saddened by these accusations. »
