The-Dream accused of sexual abuse, trafficking and more by former protégé

The-Dream is the latest industry star accused of sexual abuse. According to TMZThe-Dream is accused of sexual assault, abuse and trafficking of his former protégé.

The-Dream is being sued by Chanaaz Mangroe, citing that the artist coerced her into a relationship by promising her a singing career and subjected her to “violent sexual acts and vicious psychological torture.”

Mangroe said his work visa was extended by The-Dream in 2014 to develop his career. She was originally from the Netherlands. During her stay, Mangroe said she was subjected to a very abusive, violent and manipulative relationship for over a year.

Additionally, Mangroe said she was left naked and alone for hours in a dark room where she was subjected to violent sex and was also “frequently strangled”, nearly losing consciousness on several occasions.

Additionally, Mangroe states that some of the sexual acts are recorded and were used to silence her. On the music side, she never saw the results of her work and was never paid.

“Ultimately, my silence became too painful and I realized I had to tell my story to heal,” Mangroe says. “I hope this will also help others and prevent future horrific abuse.” »
