The coolest new weapon type in the Elden Ring DLC is just a short drive away

GOOD, look. I know everyone is going crazy for the melee martial arts weapon in the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, and I can't really blame you: Kung Fu Souls is a pretty awesome idea, and in testing I did, it's actually pretty darn effective too. However, as a certified Sword EnjoyerIt would be irresponsible of me not to draw your attention to what I think is the coolest new weapon type in the expansion: light swords.

These beautiful weapons combine the power of a greatsword, the speed of a straight sword, and the reach of a thrusting sword into a single, slender blade, complemented by a set of fluid, elegant moves that will make you feel like the coolest duelist who ever walked. the lands between. And luckily, there's a fantastic one that you can get within minutes of taking your first steps into the Shadowland.

The light sword I'm referring to is Milady, who you may have heard of while watching or reading the previews for Shadow of the Erdtree. Now that the Elden Ring DLC is out, I'll show you its location and how to get it quickly.

How to get Milady in the Elden Ring DLC

I'm not kidding when I say that Milady's location is about a two-minute torrent ride from the start of the DLC. From the Grace Site of Gravesite Plain, head north, then east, across the large Ellac Bridge and through the camp until you arrive at the Grace Site in front of the castle, opposite of Ensis Castle.. Of the, start heading towards the castle – fighting or running past the troll knight – until you come to the entrance to a cave.

Passing through the cave will take you to the rest of Ensis Castle, but in fact, you want to turn around: you will see a staircase that leads to a small fort with a watchtower. Dispatch nearby enemies, then go up the stairs and up the ladder to the watchtower where Milady is waiting in a chest.

Milady is one of three light swords added in Shadow of the Erdtree, and is by far the quickest and easiest to obtain. It naturally scales better with Dexterity, with Strength as a secondary stat; it is infusible though, so you can make it work with any of the best Elden Ring builds. I cold brewed it and used it on my Strength/Intelligence character, and even though I don't have much Dexterity, it works pretty well – the fact that many of its attacks hit multiple times makes it a excellent choice for applying status effects like Frostbite.
