The Colleton County Sheriff's Office is investigating several serious incidents

Shooting Investigations: The Colleton County Sheriff's Office is investigating several serious incidents that occurred on June 1, 2024 and June 2, 2024.

At approximately 11 p.m. on the night of Saturday, June 1, 2024, the Colleton County Sheriff's Office responded to a life-threatening shooting that left an 8-year-old juvenile in a motor vehicle injured. The juvenile was flown to an area hospital for treatment and is in serious condition this morning.

Deputies also received reports of several shots fired in the area of ​​Ritter Road. Detectives responding to the scene recovered more than 100 spent shell casings. To date, no casualties have been reported in this shooting.

Additionally, an adult male suffered gunshot wounds while at Chase Lounge, located on River Street near Hampton Street. This victim was also transported to hospital and is in serious condition.

All incidents are actively under investigation by the Colleton County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division. We are asking anyone who may have information about either incident to contact the Colleton County Sheriff's Office immediately.
