Police have appealed for witnesses after a teenager was stabbed in Hungerford.

At approximately 12:40am on Sunday 30 June, South Central Ambulance Service reported treating a man in his 20s for stab wounds in Prospect Road.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was stabbed in Prospect Road in Hungerford on June 29 or 30.

The victim suffered injuries to his side, arm and forehead and had to be treated at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

He has since been released.

The victim was wearing a light blue polo shirt, black shorts and carrying a shoulder bag.

Investigating officer DC Elin Wylie-Davies said: “I understand this attack may be concerning, but we believe there is no risk to the general public.

“We are working tirelessly with our partners to combat serious violence and we will not tolerate it in our territory, which is why we are investigating this matter as a priority.

“We are appealing to anyone in Hungerford or the surrounding area who may have any information about this matter.

“The victim was assaulted at some point between 8:45pm on Saturday 29 June and 12:30am on Sunday.

“If you have any CCTV footage or dash cam footage if you were in the area at the time, I would also ask that you check all the footage in case it has captured anything that could assist our investigation.
