Texas crowns Miss Texas USA 2024 and Miss Texas Teen USA 2024 and one of them is from the Houston area.

HOUSTON (KIAH) Two women's lives changed this weekend, and their lives will never be the same! The Lonestar State was introduced to new Miss Texas USA 2024 Aarieanna Ware and Miss Texas Teen USA 2024 Dallyn Pesek.

Over the weekend, these two annual pageants bring together women and teens from across Texas to compete for the coveted titles at the Hilton Houston Post Oak Hotel. The goal is to win these titles in order to participate in the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA competitions in August.

But that's not all. Both Ware and Pesek have started incredible community causes that they are passionate about in order to grow the community.

CW39 anchor Sharron Melton sits down with the two newly crowned queens, in their first official interview, to talk about their efforts, how they continue to give back, and what they hope to accomplish in their future.
