Temperatures near normal Saturday; the heat is on the way | Best Stories

Saturday is partly cloudy with highs in the mid 80s. Temperatures will climb into the 90s next week and we'll be there for a few days.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) – We're a few degrees above average Saturday, but we really see the heat coming Sunday and into next week.

Saturday will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid 80s.

Dew point values remain comfortable and temperatures drop into the upper 50s overnight.

We return to the 90s on Sunday and will stay there for the remainder of our forecast period.

Temperatures peak in the lower 90s Sunday under mostly sunny skies, with temperatures climbing into the upper 90s Monday.

High temperatures will hover in the mid to upper 90s throughout next week, with humidity making us feel even warmer.

Dew point values will be in the upper 60s next week and could exceed the 70 degree mark at times.

This gives plenty of chances for heat index values to reach triple digits, especially each day in the early and mid-afternoon.

If you have outdoor projects, try doing them early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are a little more tolerable.

Overall, the forecast is expected to remain mostly dry, with the exception of a slight risk of thunderstorms on Tuesday.
