Tropical Update
As of 04/07/24 at 7 p.m.
Hurricane Beryl is centered east-southeast of Tulum, Mexico. Strong waves generated by Beryl are currently impacting parts of the coast of Jamaica, Cuba, the Yucatan Peninsula, and the Cayman Islands. The waves are expected to reach eastern Mexico and much of the U.S. Gulf Coast by late Friday.

A tropical wave located over the central Caribbean Sea continues to produce disorganized shower and thunderstorm activity. Development, if any, of this system should be slow to occur while it moves west-northwestward at 15 to 20 mph during the next several days.
