Teenagers plead guilty after Royal Wootton Bassett stabbing

A 16-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed in the New Road area of ​​Royal Wootton Bassett on Monday June 3.

He was then flown to hospital for treatment after being seriously injured.

Three teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have since been charged in connection with the incident.

On Thursday June 6, a 17-year-old from Royal Wootton Bassett appeared at Swindon Youth Court and pleaded guilty to possessing a knife blade in a public place, grievous bodily harm under the section 18 and attempted wounding with intent under section 18. intention.

He has been released on bail until Monday, July 15, when he is due to appear in court again.

Two other teenagers had already been charged following the incident.

They both appeared at the same court on Wednesday June 5, charged with possession of a knife blade in a public place and a section 18 offense of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.

A 15-year-old boy from Royal Wootton Bassett pleaded guilty and was released on bail until July 15, when he will appear again at the same court.

A 17-year-old from Swindon pleaded no contest.

He was remanded to a youth detention center until his reappearance in court on Monday, June 10.
