Dealing another blow to the family of a teenager who killed two software engineers by crashing his Porsche into their two-wheeler in Pune, police have sealed the bar run by the miner's grandfather SK Agarwal.

The bar located in Mahabaleshwar came under surveillance for allegedly violating regulations, the World of the Republic reported.

“The bar's license was revoked in light of the accusations, which include claims that the bar was built on government-owned land,” the report said.

The minor suspect was behind the wheel of the Porsche Taycan when it ran over two software engineers Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta from Madhya Pradesh and killed them on the spot at Kalyani Nagar in Pune on May 19.

Remember that the Porsche Taycan driven by the teenager would not have a license plate. At the time of the accident, the car was traveling at 160 km/h. The driver did not have a driving license. According to eyewitnesses, the accused was drunk at the time of the accident. The CCTV footage, which went viral on social media, showed the accused drinking alcohol in a pub before getting into the car. However, the initial police medical report indicated that the teenager had not consumed alcohol because the blood sample had been replaced.

The juvenile suspect was released on bail hours after his arrest, subject to conditions including the submission of a 300-word essay on road accidents. However, following public outrage, the government swung into action and took a series of measures, including canceling the juvenile suspect's bail and ordering his detention in an observation house until 'to June 5.

Subsequently, the minor's father and grandfather were arrested for threatening their driver with taking responsibility for the accident.

The minor's mother was arrested for exchanging blood to protect her son.

The head of the forensic science department, Dr Ajay Taware, and the doctor of the injured, Dr Shrihari Halnor, were arrested by the special investigation team for throwing the teenager's blood and disposing of it replaced by that of his mother. A hospital staff member was also arrested for receiving bribes intended for doctors from the teenager's parents.

Two bars which served alcohol to the accused minor and his friends were sealed by the excise department.

However, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar denied the accusations linking him and some leaders of his party to the father of the minor suspect.
