Teenager 'used £1,000 she stole from her parents to hire assassins to kill them'

A 17-year-old girl allegedly tried to pay for her parents' murder with £1,000 she stole from them.

Alyssa Hatcher, from Florida, US, is accused of trying to hire two different people to kill her father and mother after withdrawing money using their debit cards.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office said the suspect's boyfriend told them they both went to a “drug house” Monday morning where she told him she wanted his children dead. parents.

Police added that a witness saw the teenager hand over a large sum of money to her friend and then ask her to find a killer.

Hatcher was arrested on charges of theft and two counts of criminal solicitation to commit murder.

She told police during an interview that she stole a total of $1,429 (£1,159) from her parents and gave $400 (£324) to her friend to find a killer, according to the affidavit.

She added that when her parents weren't killed, she hired “a black man” to do it for $900 (£730), ClickOrlando.com reported.

Hatcher also admitted buying $100 (£81) worth of cocaine, documents show.

Sgt Fred Jones said: “There were people saying on social media how much she hated her parents.

“There’s nothing your parents can do – since you’re grounded, your car is confiscated, you can’t go to prom or anywhere else – to make this happen.

Hatcher was released to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Police are still trying to determine the motive for the alleged crimes, but it was reported that she posted a now-deleted Instagram photo of herself smiling, with “Ruthless” as the caption.
