Teenager stabbed in Forest Lawn dies

A teenager was fatally stabbed in Forest Lawn Thursday evening.

EMS say they were called to the 1300 block of 41 Street SE just before 7 p.m., where they found a juvenile who had suffered a traumatic injury.

Emergency medical services say the youth was transported to Alberta Children's Hospital in critical condition and is life-threatening.

CTV Calgary has learned the victim was a man.

Police confirmed it was a stabbing and the boy was pronounced dead in hospital.

Thursday evening, investigators staged an outdoor scene.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
