Teenager stabbed in Derby city center during fight taken to hospital

A teenager was stabbed this weekend after a fight reportedly broke out on Curzon Street in the early hours of Saturday June 15.

A police cordon was put in place and remained in place for approximately 12 hours. Derbyshire Police have released a statement into the incident and are seeking more information.

The police statement said: “We are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was seriously assaulted in Derby on Saturday.

“The incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. on June 15 on Curzon Street, when a fight reportedly broke out. When officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy with a stab wound. He was transported to hospital for treatment, where his injuries were deemed not life-changing or life-threatening.

“A 17-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the incident but has since been released on police bail, pending further inquiries. Detectives want to identify two men they suspect of being involved in the incident they are described as being dressed all in black and riding electric bikes.
