Teenager shot in Simon Circle

DOVER – A 16-year-old man was shot and injured Friday, June 14, in the 300 block of Simon Circle, according to the Dover Police Department.

The investigation began at 9:49 p.m. Friday when Dover police received a call about shots fired in Simon Circle.

The police intervened and located the victim who had suffered a gunshot wound to the lower body. The victim was transported to the Bayhealth Kent campus for treatment and later released.

The investigation revealed that the suspects entered the Simon Circle area with firearms and shot the victim. The suspects then fled in a vehicle.

Detectives are actively working to determine the exact number of suspects and any descriptions. There are no additional leads at this time.
