Teenager killed by falling tree in Nottinghamshire village, three people arrested

A 16-year-old boy has died in a “tragic incident” after being injured by a falling tree. On Saturday June 15, Nottinghamshire Police were called to Rotherham Baulk in Carlton-in-Lindrick, near Worksop, after receiving reports that the boy had been seriously injured.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene, but the teenager was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Two men, aged 28 and 31, were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.



A 28-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. The three suspects are still in custody.

Detective Inspector Simon Harrison, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This is a tragic incident and my thoughts are with the boy's family. They have asked for their privacy at this most difficult time. difficult.

“The family are being supported by specially trained officers as we continue to investigate what exactly happened. Our investigations are continuing and we are appealing to anyone with information, including witnesses and anyone who may have captured CCTV, doorbell camera or dashcam footage, to contact us.
