Teenager found stabbed to death in Herriman

HERRIMAN, Utah — A 16-year-old was found stabbed in the driver's seat of a car at 14800 South Breckenbauer Drive in Herriman this afternoon.

Police are treating the death as a homicide and say it was an isolated incident.

Deputy Chief Cody Stromberg of the Herriman Police Department said they have identified at least four suspects. They are two adult women, an adult man and a teenager. Police have arrested the suspects, but have not yet arrested them on any charges.

After police found the victim, the investigation led her to a home on Daggerwing Way in Riverton. There, they found two of the suspects and a white car that had initially fled the crime scene.

The other two suspects had already taken themselves to a nearby hospital. Stromberg said their injuries were not life-threatening.

It is not yet clear who actually stabbed the victim, but it “appears to have been a targeted incident… [the victim and the suspects] have a history with each other,” Stromberg said.

Police have not released the name of the 16-year-old victim.
