Teenager fights for life after 'disturbance' in Glasgow park as second boy arrested

A TEENAGER is fighting for his life after being injured during an alleged disturbance in a Glasgow park.

The boy, 16, was seriously injured in the alleged incident at Greenfield Park in Cranhill last night.

Emergency services were rushed to the scene after the alarm was triggered.

It is believed the boy was stabbed during the alleged incident.

The teenager was rushed to the city's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital by paramedics.

Medical staff say he is currently fighting to survive in critical condition.

Another boy, aged 13, was also taken to hospital for treatment.

He has since been arrested in connection with the alleged incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 8.15pm on Friday 31 May 2024, we were called to reports of a disturbance in the Cranhill area of ​​Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended Greenfield Park, Erskbank Street, and found a 16-year-old man seriously injured.

“He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where medical staff described his condition as critical.

“A 13-year-old boy was also taken to hospital for treatment. He was arrested in connection with the incident.
