Teenager dies after horrific incident on off-road track

A teenager has tragically died after 'losing control' of a motorbike on an off-road cycle path in Tyldesley.

The 19-year-old was “having fun” on his bike at Morley's Lane racing track on Saturday (June 22) before the horrific incident, Greater Manchester Police said. At around 1:55 p.m., he “lost control” of the motorcycle and was “ejected” from the motorcycle.

His injuries proved fatal and he sadly died at the scene, probably at the Astley circuit. Officers are in contact with the teen's family.
