Teenager dies after falling from 19th floor in Tathawade | Pune News

The deceased miner was working as a helper at a construction site in Nimbalkar Nagar, Tathawade.

A teenager died after falling from the 19th floor of an under-construction building in Tathawade on Friday evening.
Police identified the deceased as Prashant Balaji Jamdad (17 years and 7 months), a resident of Chakan and native of Mukhed in Nanded district.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishal Hire said the deceased minor was working as an assistant to Anand Pandharinath Ghodke (34) at a construction site in Nimbalkar Nagar, Tathawade.

An investigation by the Pimpri Chinchwad police revealed that the deceased minor was coming down from the upper floors of the building after completing his work. But he is suspected to have lost his balance and fallen from the 19th floor.

He was immediately rushed to hospital for treatment, but doctors pronounced him dead. A complaint of accidental death has been filed in accordance with the legal procedure and an investigation has been launched to confirm the cause of death, police said.
