Teenager charged with stabbing

THE ALAMANCE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS ON APRIL 26 THEY INVESTIGATED REPORTED ABUSE AT WOODLAWN MIDDLE SCHOOL. INVESTIGATORS BELIEVE A TEACHING AID PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED A STUDENT DURING SCHOOL HOURS. DETECTIVES CHARGE WILLIAM MICHAEL JACKSON WITH CHILD ABUSE AND ASSAULT ON A CHILD UNDER 12 YEARS OLD. THE DETECTIVE ALSO CHARGED WOODLAWN, PRINCIPAL THOMAS WILLIAM CASIMIR WITH FAILURE TO REPORT CRIMES AGAINST JUVENILES. THIS MORNING, EIGHT PEOPLE IN WINSTON-SALEM ARE HOMELESS. THIS IS NEW IMAGES OF THE DAMAGE CAUSED BY THE FIRE THAT OCCURRED AT THEIR HOME ON OTIS DRIVE. FIRE FIGHTERS SAID THERE WERE NO WORKING SMOKE DETECTORS INSIDE AT THE TIME. NO ONE WAS HURT. North Carolina man charged in series of stabbings, CMPD officials say

A 19-year-old was taken into custody Thursday after Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said he allegedly stabbed a woman with a knife Wednesday night, and police were able to connect it to two other stabbings . Officers said Josiah Maitland attacked the woman as she left work around 6 p.m. in southeast Charlotte at the intersection of Randolph Road and Sam Drennan Road. Headlines Winston-Salem police say a man experienced a medical issue while in a patrol car after a traffic stop. Forsyth County deputies are asking for help finding a teenage girl.
