Teenager beaten and slashed by masked thugs in horrific robbery

A teenager was punched in the face and slashed in the hand during a terrifying robbery.

The 15-year-old victim was pulled from his bike by three masked men as he walked home and was pinned against a wall. Police said the attackers, all dressed in black and wearing masks, pulled out a knife and stole £10 and the victim's bike.

Officers said the boy was punched in the face and slashed to the hand, causing a deep cut during the ordeal. He is currently recovering at home and an appeal has been made following the incident, which happened at around 11.40am on Tuesday (July 2) on Ellesmere Road in Morecambe.

In a statement, Morecambe Police said: “We are appealing for information after a teenager was robbed in Morecambe. The 15-year-old victim was walking home at around 11.40pm yesterday (July 2) on Ellesmere Road when he was approached by three men who pulled him off his bike and slammed him against a wall.

“The attackers, all dressed in black and wearing masks, pulled out a knife and stole £10 and the victim's bike (pictured). The victim was punched in the face and slashed to the hand, causing a deep cut during the ordeal.

“He is recovering at home. We are asking anyone who saw what happened or saw anything suspicious in the area to contact us.
