Teenager accosted and robbed in Knifepoint in the Bronx

BRONX, NY—A 16-year-old man was the victim of a violent robbery on Thursday, May 23, near 1229 Franklin Avenue. At around 5:15 p.m., the teenager was approached by three young male attackers who, working together, threatened him with a knife and forcibly took his belongings.

After the first confrontation, when the victim tried to escape by running across the street, two of the suspects chased him. They caught up with the victim and attacked him with kicks and punches, inflicting multiple injuries. The two attackers then fled toward East 169th Street and Franklin Avenue, while the third suspect ran in a different direction.

The victim suffered scratches to his arm but refused medical treatment at the scene. Police are actively searching for the three suspects, all of whom are described as men aged between their late teens and early 20s. The first suspect is known to have a fair complexion, slim build, dark brown curly hair, a scar on his nose and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts and black sneakers. The second suspect has a dark complexion, a short, dark afro and was dressed in a white t-shirt and black pants. The third, who was not photographed in the media, also has a dark complexion and wore a black tracksuit with a white floral pattern and a black mask.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about this incident or the whereabouts of the suspects to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
