“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” #1 Reaches 140,000 Pre-Orders Ahead of FOC • AIPT

IDW revealed the highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 by Jason Aaron and Joëlle Jones has surpassed 140,000 orders, with the final order deadline for comic stores still open through this weekend.

After reading the issue, I can already tell that fans are going to be titillated, especially with the focus on Raphael and each subsequent issue revealing the whereabouts of each Ninja Turtle. The comic packs a punch, literally and figuratively, with street-level appeal and a dark mood that only Raphael could bring.

On sale July 24, fans have until June 10 to ask their comic book stores to reserve a copy.
