Teenage girl and woman injured after stabbing in Shawnee

SHAWNEE, Kan. — Two people were injured after a stabbing in Shawnee, Kansas, Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 12:15 p.m., the Shawnee Police Department, Johnson County MED-ACT, was called to an armed physical disturbance in the 5200 block of Barton Drive.


When officers arrived, they found a 17-year-old male and an adult female had been stabbed.

The teen was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The adult woman suffered minor injuries.

Police are actively searching for an 18-year-old man who detectives have identified. This incident remains under investigation.
