Teenage Couple Asks Parents Permission to Spend the Night at Their House via Slideshow

TikTok user Jessica Buel — now dubbed the “#sleepovermom” — went viral after sharing the slideshow presentation her son and his girlfriend made, asking for permission to host a sleepover at their house.

Both had just turned 18 and thought it was the perfect time to explain why they should be trusted to spend the night at their parents' house. Try not to smile as you watch their adorable introduction, mostly delivered by Buel's son's girlfriend, who seems incredibly charming and sweet.

“You two are 18 and you think there’s going to be sex. That’s understandable. So we’re going to go over your concerns in this slideshow,” Kaysha begins.

“Main topics,” Buel’s son Kaden interjects. “Babies?! No way! We’ll shut up. We’re not staying up late. We’re smart kids, at least when it comes to our grades. We know each other’s parents, you know?”

“And… you’re our favorite!” Kaysha adds.

Both move on to the next slide titled: “Babies? NEVER!”

“Sex? It’s BAD!” Kaden exclaims.

“We have things to do with our future. Sex means babies are broke, and I’m not trying to be broke. I work at Walmart. I can’t do that. So, I get it. I get your concerns, but I don’t want that responsibility right now. I want to push little kids around when I hear them cry. So, that’s not your concern!” Kaysha jokes.

Kaden and Kaysha move on to their next point, a clearly known concern, which is that if they get permission to have a sleepover, they not disturb someone else's sleep.

“We’re going to be quiet. You don’t want to hear the kids. You want to drink wine… We’re not going to stay up late. That’s it,” Kaysha said.

Kaden adds, addressing his mother, “You know me. I'm in bed around 10 p.m.”

“We’re going to sleep well. We’re not going to be grumpy in the morning. I don’t even talk in the morning, so it’s all good,” Kaysha adds.

They also present a slide reiterating that they are, in fact, smart and good kids.

“We respect you. If you say no, that’s okay. We understand that, but I know how scary it can be. We’re both 18. This might be our first sleepover. So, it’s understandable, but I respect you and I’m really scared of you. So, I don’t want to disrespect you in that way. So, don’t worry!” Kaysha concluded.

After the video went viral, TikTok users everywhere were asking the same question: Did Kaden and Kaysha end up spending the night at their place?

“So???????! They had their sleepover???????!!!!! They are OUR teenagers now!!!,” wrote one user.

Buel replied, “Yes, they did. She stays with us a lot now and we love her.”

In a follow-up video, Buel shared an adorable video of the couple in their prom outfits, along with the news that the two will be attending the same college in the fall.

“I really hope they're high school sweethearts who get married one day!” wrote one user.

“So do we,” Buel replied. I wish this smart and lovely couple all the best!
