Teen mum Amber Portwood 'still hasn't spoken' to fiancé Gary Wayt since he was found as insider reveals future plans

TEENAGE Mum Amber Portwood “still hasn't spoken” to financier Gary Wayt since he was found, as an insider reveals his future plans.

A source close to Amber, 34, exclusively revealed to US Sun that after her new fiancé went missing when he ran off with just his keys and wallet following an argument – only to reappear several days later – the Teen Mom star had had no contact with her new boyfriend.

“Amber hasn't spoken to him and she hasn't reached out to him,” our source revealed.

“She hasn’t contacted anyone since he was found.

“She's pretty hurt by the whole situation and still in disbelief,” the source added.

Amber and Gary, 39, attended brother Shawn Portwood's wedding in North Carolina and stayed in the mountain region for a long weekend.

On Sunday, June 9, the source said the couple seemed happy and added that the reality star even bought Gary his own engagement ring that day and he wore it.

It's unclear if Amber hopes to get the ring back.

The insider said the couple hadn't really broken up since they hadn't spoken.

On June 14, police confirmed that Gary had been located and closed their case.

As that Sunday turned into night and the two men began packing their things to return home to Indiana, they got into an argument.

As The US Sun first reported exclusively, the Teen Mom star's argument with her boyfriend for less than a year ended with them breaking up and disappearing.

News broke that Amber and Gary were engaged while in North Carolina, and her new fiancé's family wasn't happy.

THE FIGHT

“They talked about the cultural difference between his culture and his and how his family wasn't very accepting of him and expressed serious concerns.

“They also said they didn’t like his past,” a source added.

The happy couple were supposed to speak to Gary's family after the wedding weekend, but that never happened.

After the argument, Gary stormed out of the cabin they were staying in, grabbed his car keys and wallet and fled out the door, leaving his phone behind.

Without his phone no one could contact him, the next day a distraught Amber called the police to report him missing.

The Town of Bryson Police Department has opened a missing person's file and issued a missing person alert.

Gary had been spotted in Oklahoma and New Mexico and police insisted they would keep the case open until he contacted authorities.

He finally showed up on Friday and likely let authorities know he was OK, the alert having been lifted – although the mystery surrounding his brief disappearance remains.

The reality star's difficult journey as a mother and her broken relationships with her two children, of whom she does not have custody, have become hot topics for MTV.

Amber shares her 15-year-old daughter Leah with ex Gary Shirley.

She also has a 6-year-old son, James, who lives in California with his father Andrew Glennon.

The Teen Mom star also spent 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to two domestic battery charges following an alleged attack on Leah's father, Gary.

Amber has written extensively about her troubled past and various mental health diagnoses in her book So Are You Crazy Too?

A source close to Amber said the MTV star had “endured a lot of trauma and worked hard over the past few years to overcome it all.”
