Teen missing in Bellville, Texas: Geneva Hodge

When Francis Schrader walked into the bedroom of his daughter, Geneva Hodge, 17, Wednesday morning, she wasn't there. Instead, she found a note on her pillow.

BELLVILLE, Texas — Family and friends of a missing Bellville teen are asking for the public's help in finding her.

Geneva Hodge, 17, has not been seen since the beginning of the week.

Her mother, Francis Schrader, fears something terrible has happened to her daughter.

“She never did anything like this. She was a good kid. This was going to be her senior year. She was in the color guard. She was going to be the captain of the color guard,” Schrader said.

When Schrader walked into her daughter's room Wednesday morning, she wasn't there. Instead, she found a note on her pillow.

She said the note made no sense. It read:

“This will be the last time you hear from me for a very long time and it will say I love you mom, I will always be your little girl,” Schrader said.

Schrader said there had been no disagreements between them and that his daughter was not romantically involved.

“Everyone has read this letter and they say to themselves that this is not Geneva. That’s just not her,” she said.

Schrader said his daughter left her cell phone in her room, didn't take any clothes and hasn't used her debit card since she went missing.

“I just ask everyone to pray and watch out for her because I'm scared. I have a bad feeling and I don’t like this feeling,” she said.

Private detective Colman Ryan said he agreed something was wrong.

“She said and the closest people around her said, it's not her, something is wrong here. I agree. Who would know better,” Ryan said.

Ryan is going to work with Schrader. He said he is confident they will soon be able to learn more about why Geneva may have left, who she might be with and possibly where she is.

“I’m ready to ride now. I want to get to work on this immediately,” he said.

If you have any information about Geneva's disappearance, you are asked to call 979-484-1565 or the Austin County Sheriff's Office.
