At the start of the video, a group of friends were walking around the neighborhood, ringing people's doorbells and running away. As the child called Jacksen approached a door instead of ringing the doorbell, he decided to leave a message for the doorbell camera. “If you can see me, then you count, okay? There will always be someone who will care about you and you are a good person, no matter what people say, you matter,” the boy expressed. One of the boys walked over and pressed the button. doorbell even though Jacksen tried to stop it.

The boy was about to turn away and leave himself, but he returned and continued his message. “Ignore them, they’re losers. They're abandoning you, I'm just trying to say something nice. Like I didn't know what they were doing, they were running away and all that. I'm just trying to say that you matter, man or girl, whoever you are, you matter to someone. Keep that in mind, don’t forget it,” the teen said as he walked away.

The video has been viewed more than 5 million times and more than 865,000 likes. The creator captioned the video: “Random acts of kindness.” The child told CBS Minnesota, “I just saw the doorbell camera as we were walking to the gas station and I just thought maybe I should say something nice to him.” Because my friends were abandoning these cameras, and I was like, you know what? What if I said something nice? Maybe they need to hear it.

On the other hand, Ashley Mann was on vacation when the incident happened and she received a notification on her phone. She looked at the pictures and saw the boy in them. She thought, “Wow, that was very powerful.” » Mann is a mental health guide and believes that a child's message can have a huge impact on anyone who listens. So she decided to put the video online for anyone who needs to hear it. The boy's mother, Carissa, was really proud of her son's kindness. “My heart has expanded. I'm so proud of you,” she told her son. However, she is not surprised since her son told her that he would defend children who are victims of exclusion.

The boy's family and Ashley decided to start a GoFundMe to raise awareness about mental health. “Jacksen's family and I decided to do something with this and create this fundraiser with the goal of hopefully raising money to donate to a local mental health resource in our community everything is welcome and if you don't want to donate, be sure to spread positivity wherever you go, be careful,” Ashley wrote on the page. Meanwhile, people took to the comments section of the video to appreciate the child's positive message. @gleeeful111 remarked, “Bro just walked away like he was the main character.” @tik_toks_mailman wrote: “He could have saved someone's life that day.” @fresh_bird_milk commented: “Kid is straight out of a heartfelt 90s movie.”
