Teen identified in fatal Baltimore County shooting, suspect sought

Police have released the name of a 17-year-old killed last weekend in Reisterstown. Detectives are searching for the unknown shooter.



REISTERSTOWN, MD — Authorities have released the name of a 17-year-old who was fatally shot Sunday morning in Reisterstown, police said.

Nester Nunez was found suffering from “multiple gunshot wounds.” Doctors pronounced him dead on the spot, police said.

Nunez's hometown was not given.

The shooting in the 200 block of Hammershire Road was reported shortly before 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

Authorities have not released any information about a potential suspect or any details about what led to the shooting.

Neighbors told WMAR they heard four gunshots in the parking lot where Nunez was found five hours earlier. Neighborhood residents said there was a large party across the street from the scene of the shooting Sunday night.

Police told neighbors it was not a random killing, the television station said.

The Metro Crime Stoppers have offered a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to a felony arrest.

The Baltimore County Police Department asked anyone with information to call 410-307-2020. Callers can remain anonymous. Tipsters can also submit information through the county's iWATCH program at iwatch.baltimorecountymd.gov.
