Teen fatally stabbed in LAPD carnival palms identified

A 16-year-old boy who was fatally stabbed at a Los Angeles Police Department fundraising carnival in Palms was identified Wednesday by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.

The stabbing was reported around 10:30 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Keystone Avenue. A boy had fought with “several” juveniles before being stabbed by the suspect, who was described as a man between 15 and 20 years old, according to the LAPD.

The suspect fled. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene and police believe the attack was gang-related, according to the LAPD.
