Teen fatally shot in Reisterstown, detectives seek tips: police

A 17-year-old was fatally shot over the weekend in Baltimore County, police said. Detectives are still searching for the unknown shooter.

REISTERSTOWN, MD — A 17-year-old was fatally shot Sunday morning in Reisterstown, police said.

Officers are not releasing the victim's name or hometown because she is a minor.

Authorities said they were called to the 200 block of Hammershire Road just before 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police said they found the victim with “multiple gunshot wounds.”

Doctors pronounced the victim dead on the spot, police said.

Authorities have not released any information about potential suspects.

The Baltimore County Police Department asked anyone with information to call 410-307-2020. Callers can remain anonymous. Tipsters can also submit information through the county's iWATCH program at iwatch.baltimorecountymd.gov.

Metro Crime Stoppers, an independent investigator, also collects anonymous information and shares it with officers. The Metro Crime Stoppers have offered a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to a felony arrest.
