Teen fatalities expected to increase through Labor Day

A warning for teen drivers: According to AAA, we're heading into the deadliest time of year for young drivers. The days between Memorial Day and Labor Day are known as the “100 Deadliest Days.” the leading cause of death among people aged 16 to 19. Last year in Florida, teens were involved in 20,000 crashes, 68 of which were fatal, according to AAA. Government data also shows that almost half of fatal crashes involving teenagers occur during those 100 days. According to AAA, the main risk factors for young drivers are: Distracted driving, Driving with other teenage passengers.
