Teen Evacuated After Traumatic Injuries at Tall Timbers – Southern Maryland News Net

On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at approximately 2:34 p.m., firefighters and EMS responded to the 18000 block of River Road in Tall Timbers for a traumatic injury with a patient in the water.

Second District and Ridge firefighters were dispatched to the boats due to reports the patient was in the water.

911 callers reported that an 18-year-old woman suffered an arm injury after trying to get out of the water. Bystanders reportedly held the victim above water due to possible loss of consciousness.

First responders arrived on scene and found that the patient had been pulled from the water by citizens and was conscious and alert.

Emergency medical personnel requested a helicopter to land nearby due to the patients' injuries.

Maryland State Police helicopter Trooper 7 landed at Piney Point Elementary School and transported the teenage victim to UM Capital Region Medical Center.
