Teen driver dies after single-vehicle crash near Boise early Friday

The Ada County Sheriff's Office said the 17-year-old driver died at the hospital after a single-vehicle crash on Cartwright Road south of Pierce Park.

BOISE, Idaho — A teenager is dead after a single-vehicle crash on Cartwright Road south of Pierce Park early Friday morning.

According to the Ada County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to the scene of the crash around 12:09 a.m. Two people were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash and both were transported to a local hospital for their injuries.

The office said the 17-year-old driver died at the hospital.

The condition of the second person in the vehicle is unknown.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash.
