ALPINE, Texas — A 21-year-old man was hospitalized after being stabbed multiple times Sunday morning, according to police.

On June 16, 2024, Alpine Police officers were dispatched to Big Bend Regional Hospital regarding a 21-year-old man who had suffered multiple stab wounds.

Officers spoke briefly with the victim and discovered the incident occurred in the 2000 block of Peach Tree Circle.

Alpine police officers were able to identify a suspect, a 16-year-old man. The minor was arrested and is currently awaiting juvenile proceedings.

The victim was flown to an El Paso hospital where he was being treated and is expected to be released.

The case is still ongoing.
