WASHINGTON — Police have arrested a second person in connection with a fatal shooting in Southeast D.C. that occurred in March of last year.

Police arrested a 17-year-old boy in Jacksonville, Florida on Tuesday. He was wanted for first-degree murder while armed and will be extradited to the District for charges.

On March 17, 2023, shortly before 8 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Bruce Place and Ainger Place in Southeast DC for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found two men who had been shot, including Dana Faulkner, 23, and an unidentified man who was taken to an area hospital and is doing well.

A short time later, officers went to the intersection of Wheeler Road and Mississippi Avenue in Southeast looking for an unconscious person. Once there, officers found 15-year-old Abdul Fuller. He was transported to an area hospital after it was discovered he had been shot. He died two days later from his injuries related to the Bruce Place shooting.

On December 21, 2023, police arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the shooting. He was charged with first-degree murder while armed.

A few months later, police arrested another person in connection with the fatal shooting. Due to his age, his identity will not be revealed. Police only said he was 17 years old.
