Teen arrested in connection with Ocean City boardwalk stabbing

CAPE MAY COURTHOUSE, NJ— The Cape May County Prosecutor's Office and the Ocean City Police Department announced the arrest of a juvenile in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred on the Ocean City Boardwalk over Memorial weekend Day.

On the evening of Saturday, May 25, at approximately 9:12 p.m., the Ocean City Police Department responded to a 911 call regarding an assault on the boardwalk. The altercation, involving a group of minors, resulted in lacerations and a stab wound to the abdomen.

The injured juvenile was transported to Atlantic Care Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City and received treatment for his injuries.

Following an extensive investigation, which included witness interviews and review of surveillance footage, detectives identified and apprehended a juvenile suspect on June 4, with the cooperation of the Hamilton Township Police Department and Pleasantville.

The suspect, whose name is being withheld due to his age, faces charges including attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons possession. The minor is currently being held in a detention center while awaiting further legal proceedings.

    STAFFORD COUNTY, VA—Two separate incidents involving alcohol resulted in legal consequences Wednesday, as reported by the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

    The first incident occurred at 6:01 p.m. on Kellogg Mill Road, where a Ford vehicle collided with a tree. Deputy IE Baldi responded to the scene of this single-vehicle accident.

    The driver showed obvious signs of intoxication and admitted to consuming Four Loko before driving. He was charged with driving under the influence and is currently being treated at a local hospital.

    In a related incident, Deputy RJ Kemp was called to the 2700 block of Richmond Highway at 5:27 p.m. for a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, Deputy Kemp found a suspect taking a nap on the floor. The suspect showed signs of intoxication when he woke up and was subsequently charged with public intoxication. He was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until he could get sober.

    STAFFORD COUNTY, VA—A distressing incident of child neglect has been reported by the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. On Wednesday, around 6:23 p.m., a 7-year-old girl was found alone and disheveled on Cumberland Road.

    First Sergeant AI Assur responded to the call about the child wandering the street. After ensuring the child's safety, the police officer conducted an investigation to find his parents. The father was informed of the situation and arrived an hour later, after which he was summoned for child neglect. The sheriff's office highlighted the incident in its daily report to emphasize the importance of child safety in the community.

  • NYPD seeks public's help in identifying suspect in subway groping incident

    NEW YORK, New York—The New York City Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in a forcible touching incident. The event happened around 7:45 a.m. Friday at the Utica Avenue & Crown Heights subway station.

    A 21-year-old woman was leaving the station when she was approached from behind by a stranger who grabbed her buttocks. The attacker was last seen fleeing west on Eastern Parkway, toward Utica Avenue. Fortunately, the victim was not physically injured. The NYPD is urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in the investigation.

  • Daylight robbery in the Bronx

    NEW YORK, New York— A 34-year-old man was robbed Tuesday at the corner of East 165th Street and River Avenue in the Bronx. The incident, which occurred around 12:41 p.m., involved three unknown assailants who approached the victim and demanded he empty his pockets.

    The perpetrators forcibly took the victim's wallet before fleeing on foot eastbound on East 165th Street, toward the Grand Concourse. Fortunately, the victim was not injured during the robbery. Police are currently investigating the incident and are looking for the three individuals involved.

  • Shooting at Queens business sends one to the hospital

    NEW YORK, New York—A shooting at a Queens business establishment injured a 35-year-old man on Saturday. Around 3:30 p.m., an unknown person fired several shots near 29th Street and 36th Avenue. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the buttocks during the attack.

    After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene on foot, heading east on 36th Avenue. The injured man was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition.

    . Described as having a light complexion, the suspect is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and has a thin build. He was last seen wearing a red Nike sweatshirt, black sweatpants, a black mask and white and black sneakers.
