Teen arrested in connection with 2023 double homicide shooting – NBC4 Washington

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of a 23-year-old man in March 2023, according to DC police.

On March 7, 2023, police responded to a shooting in the 2700 block of Bruce Place in Southeast DC. Two men were shot and injured, according to DC police.

One of the men, Dana Faulkner, 23, was shot and killed at the scene. The second man was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A short time later, police found an injured person at the intersection of Wheeler Road and Mississippi Avenue, according to DC police. Abdul Fuller, 15, was found with serious gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital but later died there, according to police.

According to the DC police investigation, Fuller was injured in the Bruce Place shooting.

Members of the Capital Region Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a 19-year-old man on Dec. 21, 2023, according to police. He was charged with first-degree murder while armed.

According to DC police, another suspect was arrested in Florida on June 21. A 17-year-old from DC has been charged with second-degree murder while armed for killing Faulkner in 2023.

He was transported to the Metropolitan Police Department Juvenile Processing Center after being extradited from Florida.

DC police say the case remains under investigation. They are urging anyone with information to call police at 202-727-9099 or text 50411.

The police department is also offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
