Teen arrested after two people stabbed in Sumter County

A 16-year-old was arrested after two people were found with stab wounds in Sumter County Saturday evening. According to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the 6600 block of County Road 148 near Lake Okahumpka for a stabbing call. When police arrived, they found an adult and a juvenile who had been stabbed. Both victims received emergency medical services and were flown to receive further treatment at the hospital. During their investigation, deputies determined that a 16-year-old was the stabbing suspect. . The teenager fled the scene of the attack on foot. Sumter County Sheriff's Office deputies then located the teenage suspect, who was then transported to the Sumter County Jail.
